WEST SCARBOROUGH COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES IS LOOKING FOR DIRECTORS
APPLY BY JULY 20, 2020
WEST SCARBOROUGH COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES (WSCLS) is seeking volunteers to sit as Directors on its Board. WSCLS is a non-profit legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario that provides free legal advice, representation, and legal education to help low income residents maintain/obtain government benefits and housing, or have employment and immigration problems. Please visit our website at www.westscarboroughlegal.ca to learn more about our organization.
As a community organization, we are currently looking for volunteers who live or work in Scarborough who are willing to contribute their time, experience and ideas in the management of the clinic. Given the current composition of the Board, we are especially seeking volunteers with knowledge and skills related to human resources, finance, and communications. We would also be particularly interested to hear from volunteers with previous community service or board experience, or those who have lived experience.
If you can commit approximately 6 hours per month (including attending a monthly 2-hour meeting that is held in the evening) for a two-year term, we would like to hear from you by July 20, 2020. For more information and to obtain the application form please call Danny Rampersaud, Office Manager at 416-285-0502 ext. 22.
