Housing Law
We help tenants by providing summary advice, brief services and legal representation to address legal problems that affect their housing. These can include:
- Evictions
- Rent subsidy being cut off
- Tenant rights (summary advice only)
Due to a high volume of housing cases, representation is only available for limited eviction and subsidy matters and is dependent on complexity, affordability of the tenancy and capacity.
Please contact the clinic for help.
We can’t help landlords. Please contact the Landlord Self-Help Centre for assistance.
We do not help people find housing, although we can refer you to organizations that might be able to assist you.
The Steps to Justice website offers step-by-step information about housing and other common legal problems.
